Check your next bin collection day

Residents can easily check the next waste collection dates for their property with the tap of a button. If there are any changes to their regular collection schedule - such as during public holidays - the Cloud 9 Citizen Mobile app will inform them as well.

When residents first download the app it asks for their postcode and address. It is then stored and used every time they look up their next bin collection days.

Automated bin reminder notifications

To help reduce the number of missed collections, residents can also sign up for automatic notifications to remind them to put the right bins out at the right time.

Residents can choose the time of their notifications, either the night before or the morning of their collection. This feature has been extremely popular with residents using the app!

Notify residents about collection issues in realtime

Bin collection issues are a common occurrence due to bad weather conditions, road closures, access issues, vehicle breakdowns or other factors.

You can send push notifications directly to the affected residents, targeting by various attributes including collection round, street, or postcode. This is an invaluable way to reduce the number of complaints to customer services by keeping residents informed.

Get useful recycling information in an instant!

Using the app, residents can search a huge database of thousands of household items and materials to find out how to recycle them and which bin they should go in.

All the responses can be customised and managed by the council using the admin portal.
